Are the holidays making you blue?

Let's chat about it and see if anyone has any remedies. Many people that don't have a partner may find this time of the year difficult. I can suggest a few things that have helped me during those times.

1. Volunteer your time at a senior center they really appreciate the company.
2. Get closer to the lord 
3. Go to a singles gathering (you can find them in the newspaper)
4. Adopt a pet
5. Buy some toys for kids and drop them off at the firehouse (cute guys work at the firehouse and men bring the toys to a women's shelter or police station you never know) and if doesn't help you did something really nice for someone else and that aids in the lonely feeling. 
6. Visit children in the hospital and make them feel special. I guarantee they will put a smile on your face.
7. Last, but not least be thankful for what you do have......

What happens when your children's friends change and mature faster than your children? You are also aware that their child is engaging in things that you don't want your child to do. How do you prevent a play-date? During past encounters the child shared information with your children that was too advanced and sneaky. Unfortunately, the parent does like spending time with child's parent.

My sister-in-law is driving me crazy, but my husband has a good relationship with her. She talks about me with him and I know this because of how he treats me when she is around. I am so confused I haven't done anything to her, but I think she wanted him to marry her best friend who he use to date. Please I need advice.....

She is throwing a baby shower and the person she is throwing it  for is trying to
take control and doesn't want to have it on that date, unless the  RSVP's come back with the results of a large number.
The problem is the person is traveling from another state to throw the baby shower.

             * How much time do I spend with my children?
             * Do I do for them, even when I don't want to?
             * Do I put them first?
             * Do I help them with their homework?
             * Do I volunteer in their classroom?
             * Am I being the best parent I can be?
             * Am I listening to them?
             * Do I ask how was their day?
             * Do I know at least three of their classmates names?  

If you answered yes to these questions then good for you, but if you didn't please reevaluate why you can't answer yes. Make your children a priority, and remember your childhood and what you would have changed to have made it better. One day your children will look back at their memories and we want to put smiles on their face, not for them to pay for therapy.
